Yeah, they have the same function: to make an instant picture!
But, Polaroid is Polaroid, dude.
Like Nike is Nike. You can't simply point another running shoes as Nike. These are branding. I just don't really like it when people call Instax as Polaroid.
You know what I mean?
Below I show you the example of Polaroid camera.
See the Polaroid written there?
Nampak? Haa pandai punn. Soo this kind of instant camera, any, which is branding by Polaroid, we call them Polaroid.
What about Instax?
Basically, Instax is owned by Fujifilm. Fujifilm decided to release an instant picture maker named Instax.
Below I show you the picture of Instax camera:
It is written Fujifilm on them. (branding, remember?)
Ok so the pictures are so big. haha. Atleast now you can look closely :)
Tetapi saya sangatlah kecewa bila Polaroid keluarkan kamera Polaroid baru and the pattern sangatlah sama dengan Instax. Saiz filem pun sama (name card size). Tapi untuk Polaroid punya filem, dia panggil Polaroid 300 film.
Polaroid 300. Sebijik gila dengan Instax kan? Aih kecewa. I need-want-miss the classic Polaroid.
Let's we hope that after this we know how to differentiate them :)

But a popular brand or a significant brand can sometimes define a genre or category of the product. As with the likes of colgate, coke and such. And thats the same as to Polaroid. This is to distinguish the product. This tantrum would be like saying you hate people calling it colgate rather than toothpaste..
"pergi beli colgate" as to "pergi beli toothpaste"
But thats just the intepretation of brand.
As for the "new" polaroid, maybe they saw something in the design of fuji's intax to make it more user friendly or more commercial..
Tp itu hanya opinion seorang consumer yang takde duit nak beli camera2 ni..Ha ha ha.
